A) INTRODUCTION

The meaning of “Omnipotence” is, “All Powerful.”  In fact, one of the Names of God is, “El-Shaddai.”  “El” meaning “God,” while “Shaddai,” meaning, “Almighty.”  There is no aspect of anything that God does not overpower.

In regards to “Omnipresence,” a little “common-sense” would be in order.  If our God is not “Omnipresent,” then when He is in one place, He has no control over any other place.  Things would fall apart quickly.  The word “Omni” simply means, “All.”

The meaning of “Omniscience” is “All-Knowing.”  There is not anything that can be hidden from God or unknown.

B) OMNIPOTENCE

From A. W. Tozer:  “Since God has at His command all the power in the universe, as the Lord God Omnipotent can do anything as easily as He can do anything else.  All of His acts are done without effort.  He expends no energy that must be replenished.  His self-sufficiency makes it unnecessary for Him to look outside of Himself for a renewal of strength.  All the power required to do all that He will lies in Him in undiminished fullness.”

C) BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF GODS OMNIPOTENCE

“And God said [spoke],” Genesis 1:3 & 6 & 9 & 11 & 14 & 20 & 24 & 26; Job 42:2; Psalm 33:6; 102:25-27; Isaiah 14:27; 40:28; 43:13; Jeremiah 32:17; Ephesians 3:20.  And many more.

D) GOD’S OMNIPRESENCE AS SEEN IN THE TORAH

That our God can be “Omnipresent” is seen in the “Torah” when speaking of His presence both at the same time in the Sanctuary in Heaven above (Deu. 26:15) and the Earth beneath (Exo. 40:33-35; compared to Lev. 1:1 & 26:11-12).

And here is Deuteronomy 4:36:  “Out of Heaven He made thee to hear His voice, that He might instruct thee:  and upon earth He shewed thee His great fire; and thou heardest His Words out of the midst of the fire.”  Here our Lord is both speaking from Heaven while being in “the midst of the fire” “upon [the] earth.”

Then, in First Kings, Chapter Eight, we have king Solomon building a Temple for God to dwell in.  In verses 10-13, God moves into the Temple, for “that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud:  for the glory of the LORD had filled the house,” verse 11.  All this while still abiding “in Heaven Thy dwelling place,” verse 49.

E) GOD’S OMNIPRESENCE AS SEEN IN THE REST OF SCRIPTURE

For “Omnipresence” in Scripture, see Deuteronomy 4:39; Second Chronicles 16:9; Job 34:21; Psalm 34:15; 113:6; 139:7-12; Proverbs 5:21; 15:3; Jeremiah 16:17; 23:23-24; 32:19; Zechariah 4:10; Hebrews 4:13; First Peter 3:12; and many others.

The fact that God is “Transcendent,” in other words, God is above and independent of the cosmos (the entire universe), is found in First Kings 8:27; Second Chronicles 2:6; 6:18; Psalm 97:9; Isaiah 57:15; 66:1; Jeremiah 23:24; Acts 7:48-49; 17:24; Ephesians 4:6.

F) GOD’S OMNISCIENCE

The word “Omniscient” describes God’s ability “to know” absolutely everything.  It comes from the Latin roots, “omnis,” meaning “all,” and “scientia,” meaning “knowledge.”  Therefore, any texts in which God is shown as “knowing” the past, present, and future describe this attribute.

Biblical texts describing “Omniscience” would be:  First Kings 8:39; First Chronicles 28:9; Job 37:16; Psalm 44:21; 139:1-4; 147:4 & 5; Proverbs 15:3; Isaiah 46:8-10; Jeremiah 23:24; Matthew 10:30; Acts 1:24; Hebrews 4:13; First John 3:20; and so many more.
