THE BIBLE
IS JESUS
In the Book of Genesis, we learn about Adam (Chapters 2-3). Jesus, known as the Second Adam (1Co. 15:45-49), came to redeem what the first Adam lost.
In the Book of Exodus, is about Moses, a man who was drawn out of a body of water, goes into the wilderness for forty years, then returns to deliver his people. The Second Adam Jesus, was drawn out of water, goes into the wilderness for 40 days, then returns in order to deliver His people.
In the Book of Leviticus, the Holy Bood of the Old Testament, is about the cleansing of the people from their sins. Jesus, after His return from the wilderness, begins His work of cleansing His people.
In the Book of Numbers, Moses leads the twelve tribes and calls seventy elders (Num. 11:16). Jesus called for twelve disciples and ordained 70 (Luke 10:1).
In the Book of Deuteronomy, Moses gives his last sermon, dies and is buried and is then resurrected (Deu. 34:5-6; Mat. 7:3; Jude 1:9). Jesus died, was buried, and was resurrected (1Co. 15:3-4).
In the Book of Joshua, the promised land is entered into. Jesus stands up and states, “It is finished,” John 19:30.
In the Book of Judges, The people are ruled by judges. After the resurrection of the saints, they will be judging for 1,000 years (1Co. 6:3).
In the Book of Ruth, we learn of a kinsman redeemer. Jesus is our Kinsman Redeemer. It is also about a Gentile woman, learning about the Jewish messiah, then states, “your God will be my God,” Ruth 1:16, and she begins bringing in the shelves (Jewish nation dropped and the Gospel passed to the Gentiles).
In the Book of First Samuel, the Jews reject Jesus for an earthly king. This leads to the Books of Second Samuel, First & Second Kings, First & Second Chronicles, which all detail Israels apostasy. This covers approximately a 1260-year period, which the true Church was persecuted for under Jesus and went through for a 1260-year period (Rev. 11:3).
This brings us to the Books of Ezra & Nehemiah, which detail the return and restoration of the Temple in Jerusalem. After the Millenium (1000-year period of Rev. Chp. 20), the New Jerusalem is seen coming down out of Heaven (Rev. Chp. 21). And Jesus will finally dwell with His people.
In the Book of Esther, there is given a death decree of the government. In the last days before the Second Coming of Jesus, there will be a death decree for those who will also not obey the government decrees which go against the Commandments of God (Rev. 12:17). In the New Testament, many passages speak of Jesus Coming a Second Time before that death decree can be executed (1Th, 4:16).
In the Book of Job, we learn of constant suffering. Jesus ends suffering when He says He, “shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain,” Revelation 21:4.
In the Book of Psalms, is singing. The redeemed will be singing in Heaven with Jesus (Rev. 15:3).
In the Books of Proverbs & Ecclesiastes, we are constantly learning. In Heaven, we will be constantly learning under the Leadership of Jesus.
In the Book of Song of Solomon, he praises his bride. Throughout eternity, the bride, which is people from the true Church, will be praising their Groom, Jesus.
In the rest of the Books, Isaiah to Zechariah, the foretelling of a future existence with a True Messiah in Heaven, if obedient to His proclamations, is prophesied. In the Book of Revelation, Chapter Twenty-Two, those prophecies are realized.
In the Book of Malichi, it finishes all of this with the wicked becoming ashes under the souls of the righteousness’ feet (Mal. 4:3). Jesus says sin will no longer exist (Rev. 21:7).
